This is the first annual report published by GPRBA under its new identity, and presents the activities of fiscal year 2019. 

There is renewed emphasis in "leaving no one behind" as GPRBA has expanded its toolbox of financing instruments to reach the underserved and vulnerable populations through impact bonds and blended finance, among other results-based approaches beyond output-based aid. 

Among the highlights were two new grant agreements: one combining water and energy as it provided Tanzanians with solar pumps to access groundwater, and a second one extending electricity to rural parts of Zambia.  

GPRBA is also exploring projects to follow up on some technical assistance provided for deaf education in Vietnam, land registration in the West Bank and Gaza, and early childhood education in Uzbekistan. A key event that has placed GPRBA as a convenor of practitioners and experts on results-based approaches was the highly successful RBF Forum, held in Addis Ababa (May 15-17, 2019) which is anticipated to become an annual event.
